As many of you know, Chelsea is currently participating in the ERHS Nursing program, which allows her to become a Certified Nursing Assistant at a much younger age than most. Not only is she earning High School credit and working towards her field of dreams, pediatric medicine, she is also earning dual credits that will transfer to OCC. When Chelsea begins the college level nursing program in the summer of 2010. Upon comepletion she will be a Registered Nurse (RN). While working as an RN she will continue her education in pediatric medicine.
This year, Chelsea was the only student nominated from ERHS to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine at a major medical university, such as Harvard or Berkley, in the summer of 2009. During this program she will have rare opportunities such as observing open heart surgery, participate in the care of a terminally ill child.
Chelsea, and up to 4 roomates will be living on campus during the week long forum.
She is so very excited at this oppurtunity!
We are currently in the process of planning fundraisers to help offset the cost of nearly $5,000. At this point, all expenses will be paid out of pocket. Chelsea has an account that is strictly for donations and fundraiser income. By clicking the link below you can DONATE via credit/debit card.
